Scruffy Dog Rescue Shropshire - the adoption process

First Step: email sdrdogs@mail.com to register your interest in a particular dog. You can register an interest in more than one dog if you wish but you must send a separate email for each dog you wish us to consider you for.

Second Step: Complete a pre-adoption Application Form which we will send to you after you have emailed us. You only ever need to complete an application form once and we keep it on file. We DO NOT need multiple application forms from the same prospective adopter.

You should complete lots of detail on the form about what you can offer one of our dogs and also what you are looking for. Most importantly, don't rush the form, plan what you are going to tell us before you submit the form. 

The potential adopter is emailed with details of the dog's adoption, with terms and conditions, along with a request for the adoption donation. The adopter agrees to the T&Cs and pays the adoption donation and now the arrangements for collecting the dog can be made. Often the meet and greet appointment and the collection date is on the same day, and the dog may be taken to his/her new home so long as the adoption contract has been signed and the adoption donation has been received by SDR Shropshire [payable by Bank Transfer or PayPal]. Should the adoption not go ahead for any reason a full refund will be made. Once the dog leaves SDR Shropshire grounds with the adopter, the adoption donation is non-refundable for any reason including if the dog is returned to SDR kennels as stated in the contract signed by the adopter. 

Collection Day is the happiest day for everyone, the dog, the adopter and for Team SDR who work so hard to match paws to families, homes and lifestyles and who have seen them through their entire rescue journey.
