SDR Shropshire Fundraising

We host a very special Facebook Group to help raise funds for our ever increasing vet bills, both abroad and here in the UK and for essential resources. We run the SDR 100 Club with 5 big prizes in each monthly draw, and we organise raffles, competitions and a very popular auction.

In December 2024, we founded the SDR Hope Fund which is specifically to help overseas dogs in SDR's care who need special veterinary medical care in order to save their lives, and we manage particular fundraisers for these dogs with incredible success.

We are always grateful for donations of new items that may be suitable for auction, or for use by the SDR kennels. We sometimes send items to Romania too to help rescue dogs who have been secured by SDR, as they have very little in the way of resources.

SDR Meet & Greet Cabin

CAN YOU HELP US?

We are thrilled to announce our latest major fundraiser to allow us to build a Meet & Greet Cabin within the grounds of Scruffy Dog Rescue Shropshire. A space where prospective adopters can meet a dog under cover, get to know the dog a little and be in a comfortable space for both visitors and dogs. At the moment if the weather is poor it’s not a good experience for anyone.

CORPORATE HAPPY BUS SEATS

SPONSOR A HAPPY BUS SEAT

We currently have sponsorship for 12 happy bus seats from supporters of our fundraising group.

It costs approximately £450 to bring a dog to the UK on the Happy Bus, a professional pet transport air conditioned vehicle with a chaperone/carer for the dogs.

Once a seat is sponsored for £450, we can book a ticket to transport a dog to the UK, the funding is then recovered from the adoption fee and then we can offer the seat again for the next doggy passenger. It is a one-off donation which can be used over and over again.

If anyone would like to sponsor a corporate happy bus seat, it can be named in your company name. Individual’s happy bus seats can be named by you too. Group bus seats will be named by SDR.
